Whether you're a Globus expert with technical advice to share, or an executive with visions for the future of open source enterprise Grid computing, GlobusWORLD is the premier event for delivering your message to the Grid community. In 2005 hundreds of Grid professionals from research and industry attended GlobusWORLD to discuss Grid adoption issues, receive training and exchange information related to Globus Software, the open-source solution for Grid Computing. This year we join forces with IDG World Expo and GGF to present the most comprehensive event on Grid computing to date, GridWorld 2006.
The GlobusWORLD program at GridWorld will offer a wide variety of sessions, mini-symposiums, panel discussions, and tutorials. The GlobusWORLD program will run in parallel with other GridWorld program tracks and spans the entire GridWorld program. It will feature content in the Solutions Program, Technology Program and Community Program sessions.
The Solutions Sessions are the high level business and use case scenarios for Globus Software targeted at CxO's and IT directors. The GlobusWORLD program will feature Globus Software success stories and insight from the pioneers that have been the driving force of Globus and Grid Computing worldwide.
The Technology Sessions are the GlobusWORLD standing room only sessions of 2005 that targeted architect and developer level participants and discussed the nuts and bolts of the Globus Toolkit. The GlobusWORLD program will again feature sessions lead by instructors who are the primary architects and developers of these various components of the Globus Toolkit.
The Community Sessions will have a cross over with the GGF crowd. As such, GGF and GlobusWORLD are sharing these sessions and we have worked closely with the GGF-18 program committee to make sure we have a nice blend of content.
This year the GlobusWORLD program will feature a tutorial and three Globus centric hands on labs. For those that are just starting to dip their toes in the Grid pool, the Introduction to Grid Computing and the Globus Toolkit is a can't miss opportunity. For those who want to get their hands dirty and build a grid, or a grid application consider the popular Build a Service Using GT4 lab, the Grid Computing: A Hands-on Introduction lab, or the FileBuy Globus Based Resource Brokering System - A Practical Example lab.
Come celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Globus Toolkit at the Globus 10th Birthday party. All conference attendees are invited for this night of food, drinks, music, friends and fun! The celebration takes place Monday evening immediately following Ian Foster's Globus State of the Union Keynote, in the concourse area right outside the keynote room.
